Everyone should go out and cop the latest issue of BUST, apparently they have a whole spread on bike fashion:

Check that upper right corner, it’s announced on the cover no less! I haven’t gotten my copy yet, but if this teaser picture is an accurate peek it looks like it should be pretty good.

Now that summer is FINALLY upon us (at least here’s hoping all the rain is over), you’re probably looking for a way to keep your beers cool on those long lazy summer afternoons in front of the grill. What you need, my friend, is the perfect koozie to carry you through the summer months:

This guy will help you show off your mad tall bike pride and keep your cold ones cool.

If the answer if yes, I think you’ve finally found your favorite new bike accessory, just remember to close the door, unlike the genius in the picture. I think the designer Olivier Gregoire says it best:
“Cocoon allows it can transport its cat not only on foot but also in cycle.”
(he’s French, give him a break)

Too bad for all you out there who love your cat almost as much as your bike, it looks like Olivier’s only made a prototype so far. Maybe if we all get on him the cat/bike cocoon will soon become something you can get your hands on.

Has anyone else noticed that bicycle fashion is slowly creeping into the world of street wear, and maybe soon high fashion? Not that I think you’ll see Louboutin coming out with some sweet red soled clipless shoes soon, but some uniquely bike related accessories are starting to catch on with even the non-bike-riding crowd. Check out MadeMe’s summer collection for a sweet example of some bike hats turned fashion accessories:

I think they’re looking pretty good. I don’t know about you, but I wish those bike gloves in the second picture were available too. MadeMe, if your designers are reading this, tell them to add another bike inspired accessory or two to your next collection, starting with those gloves! Cop your own piece of bike fashion interpreted for the masses in red or blue here, sadly the pink is already sold out, so move fast!
After the post about belts made from bike parts the other day it got me thinking about other ways to work your love of bikes into your wardrobe. I decided to do a little searching for bike inspired jewelry and here’s what I found: There seem to be two basic categories for bike jewelry, either it has a little bike or picture of a bike on it, or it’s actually made from bike parts. Here are my two favorites from each category.

This one, from the first category, is perfect for those who appreciate a little something girly and want to show off how much they love bikes.

I think this is probably one of the coolest necklaces I found, when I first saw it I definitely thought “awesome” and “bad-ass” before it dawned on me this was a recycled tube!
