Everyone loathes having to wear a helmet, especially us ladies. Bern has been a god sent to most of us that want a non “team extreme” style helmet. But the Lazer Amour helmet is a great option for those that want a good in between. The Amour helmet has the look of a Bern Helmet, but the light weight of a traditional road helmet. They also come with a dust bag which can come in handy when your driving to the mountain or flying on a plane. We have them in stock in both matte black, black, and matte white. They come in small, medium, and large to accommodate all your head sizes.

We are always trying to keep it classy here at Superb, after all we are a Brooks Dealer of Excellence. Brooks has just recently launched their slender grips. This is a great option for people who are looking for the Brooks class, but want something less bulky. The best part about these guys is that the leather grip tape can be swapped out of the grip cartridge for different colors. We also have the classic Brooks handlebar tape in their harder to find colors, green and white. For those super commuters, we brought in the Brooks Trouser Straps. They are great since they work on the same principle as a snap bracelets, like the ones that you got confiscated from you in 4th grade, covered in fine genuine leather. And last but not least is the Brooks Wheel Kit containing 3 tire levers, which is more than enough to get any pesky tire off, and a double sided spoke wrench. Devil Takes the Hind Wheel Criterium

We almost forgot to add this event to our calender for this week! The Boston Bike Messenger Association (BBMA) is throwing a criterium as a benefit to send Boston messengers to compete in the North American Cycle Courier Championships (NACCC) in Richmond, VA this year. It is $10 race entry fee and there will be t-shirts for sale. The race will be a figure 8 criterium, Australian style. For those that don’t know what an Australian criterium is then you’ll just have to see for yourself. The race will be on a set course in Winthrop Sq. Downtown Boston starting at 9:30pm this Friday May 18th. Come out to watch, race, or just support your local bike messengers!

Our Superb Sprints have been getting a warm reception. Yet again we have another one of our babies being snapped up by you guys! Billy went with the classic finish, good old polished aluminum. Pretty soon Billy will be joing the ever growing Sprint crew in Boston. We’ll have to start inventing a special wave of some sort… This bad boy is going to be raised as a single speed commuter, equipped with a Sram Omnium crank set, Campagnolo Veloce brake set, Chris King headset, Velocity Aero Wheel set, and Hold Fast straps on platform pedals. Remember that if you can dream it, we can build it. Doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a track bike, single speed, 3 speed, road bike etc., stop in an let us help you find or build the right bike.

Chrome Restock: Bags, Shoe, and The London Series

Stocking back up for the spring weather, we just got in a new shipment of Chrome bags and shoes. Chrome has been doing a lot of great collaborations and special series. We brought in The London Series, which is “inspired by all things punk, ale, and tweed”. As usual we have in the messenger bags, packpacks, and phone pouches. The best thing about these bags in none of them costs over $140, for those looking for a durable yet economical bag. The Kursk Pro sneakers for those who haven’t heard or are still in a search for a non-tech looking SPD shoe. They have had the best life span out of all the models that we have carried. But the real item to run in for is the phone pouch, these little guys sell like hot cakes! They cover your phone or elctronics fully and have a little hole for your headphone cable. The best part is they are large enough for your smart phones!

Summer Hours!

I know it can get rough especially when daylight savings comes around. The dreaded one hour less of sleep is hard on us all. The only good thing that does come about when we shift times is summer hours resume! We are now back to being open Monday – Saturday 11-7 and Sunday 12-6. This should make it easier on anyone who has a tough time making it in after work. Don’t forget that tomorrows weather forecast is predicted to be close to 70 degrees! So be sure to plan your “Ferris Buller’s Day off” ASAP!

New 2012 White Fuji Feathers in Stock!

We had already gotten our shipment of the 2012 Fuji line up in, but somehow the white ones had slipped by us till now! From an all black color scheme now to an all white color scheme. I don’t know if Fuji knows that they are creating a “good vs. evil” or a “dark vs. light” theme here, but we like it. The 2012 Fuji Feather in white has the same specifications as the black ones in our previous post. We have to admit that the white ones are always a little harder to come by so if you are feeling extra “good” today, you better fly down fast.
