For Sale: Custom 3 speed fixed Igleheart

posted by Wei Wei on 2011.11.12 , under Bike Porn, Custom Build, Fixed Gear, consignment

In store currently we have on consignment, Chris Igleheart’s custom 3 speed fixed gear bicycle. You may wonder what the hell is a 3 speed fixed gear? Sturmey Archer developed this internal fixed gear hub  and actually had Igleheart build up a bicycle inspired by it. The mechanisms are all the same as a traditional internal hub and you can even throw on a different cog to convert it into a coasting 3 speed. Igleheart’s vision of this 3 speed fixed gear comes with cruiser bars, a set of Paul cantilever breaks, a front rack, IRD classic crankset, Brooks leather saddle, and all the eyelets in the world for you to mount whatever your heart desires on this bike. Come in and check out this one of a kind build or pick it up for $1,500.

New Stock: Fabric Horse Fanny Packs & Wallets

posted by Wei Wei on 2011.11.05 , under Bags, Fashion, New Product

We just got in stock a variety of Fabric Horse Fanny Packs and Wallets, we also still have in stock their U-Lock Holsters in Black and Grey. These guys are all handmade in Philly for your utilitarian needs. What’s great about  the fanny packs are they come with a built in belt for those days a belt doesn’t flow with your gear. We have two different styles or their fanny packs in stock, the Half Belt and the 59r.

The half belt is a beefy fanny pack with a large main pocket for all your needs, a smaller pocket fit for a cell phone, a slim stash pocket for cards and etc, a U-Lock holster, and a “D” ring to hook your keys up. The pack secures to your waist with a gigantic Velcro closure that allows for a lot of adjustment due to certain fluctuations in clothing or weight and definitely doesn’t come undone easily. Fully constructed with Cordura, this fanny pack is bomb proof and water  resistant.

The 59r is a lighter fanny pack. Made of waxed canvas, it has a zippered main pouch with two smaller pockets for cell phones and misc, and a “D” ring for your keys. It attaches with a seat belt strap with snaps that allow for 5 different widths. This is great for those lighter days and the ladies since it is more slim line.

Fabric Horse just released these wallets and we have two sizes. The Trifold wallet and the Trifold delux wallet which is in clutch size version. These wallets are definitely made for the person on the go, armed with a little notebook and pencil for any ideas that strike, phone numbers, or job destinations, all made with waxed canvas.

Lasso one of these Fabric horse packs before they disappear.

Stay Warm in the Cold: Layering Edition

posted by Wei Wei on 2011.10.28 , under Apparel, Chrome, Fashion, New Product

As most of you have felt… Winter is coming! The first snow has hit and people everywhere are looking to cuddle up with someone and snuggle up in front of the tele. But for the rest of us that have to or want to brave this winter on our bicycles, here are some ways to stay warm, dry, and all the while not looking like a the Michelin man. The best thing that you can do is Layer. Here are some good ideas to stay warm in the cold.

The first line of defense is a good jacket. We currently have in stock the Swrve Milwakee ES Hoodie Mid-Weight Soft Shell and the Mission Workshop Orion Waterproof Jacket. These two jackets are great for being the first line of defense when biking outdoors. The Milwakee Hoodie is wind and water resistant jacket with thermal lining. Every guy in the shop owns one personally and it’s an affordable tech jacket.

The Mission Workshop Orion Jacket is completely waterproof and made out of 4-way stretch Schoeller c_change material designed for all weather conditions.

The second best line of defense is an insulation layer. We currently have in stock the Mission Workshop Bosun Merino Wool Jacket. Merino wool is just about the best wool that you can get. The jacket is also blended with Lycra so you have full mobility and is the perfect under layer to the Orion Jacket.

We also have the two Chrome hoodies in stock. The Cobra Merino Hoodie for men and the Pasha Merino Hoodie for women is a more affordable way to get the benefits of Merino wool and also keeps you from looking like a dumpling (especially good for the ladies).
