The Bicycle Film Festival is coming to Boston this weekend and we are starting things off right tonight with some Bold Sprints at the Middlesex lounge starting at 7pm. I’ll be DJing for the sprints and my good friend Brek. One will be DJing afterwards.
Saturday Brunch @11am at Grand Union, followed by a casual group ride to some of Bostons best bike shops and local frame builders.
Race from the screenings organized by Croth-Jackson. More info on the race format from Croth himself:
This year the race will start nearby the Brattle Theatre after the last screenings finish, probably 11-11:30PM. Following last year’s format, riders will visit 5 Box Offices for tickets to 5 nearby Theatres, there will possibly be a Snack Bar along the way. Also like last year there just might be a couple of hills involved, so start preparing. Faster riders might finish in under 1 hour.
Race is free to anyone holding a Festival Pass (which gets you in to all the movies in the whole festival for only $22, buy online: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/88244), or $5 for anyone else.
Top male and top female finishers will each win one of two custom-built wheelsets from Open Bicycle and Superb Bicycle, along with a custom Croth•Jackson toolpouch/whiskey coozie combo. There will be lots of other prizes as well. Prizes/Awards at the afterparty at Flattop Johnnies in Kendall Square.
We had a great time yesterday. I was at Superb for most of the race, then headed over to the BBQ/awards ceremony, and then DJed the roofdeck afterparty with Ghostdad and Guicci Vuitton. Thanks so much everyone that helped out with this event, as well as all the people who came out and raced in 90 degree heat with ridiculous amounts of weight on your backs, you guys are brutal!
It is finally here. You don’t want to miss this one. There are going to be tons of prizes, and you don’t even need to necessarily be the fastest to win. Everyone should race this one, even if you are new to races, and don’t forget about the BBQ and After party!
We are getting closer to the Katamari Alleycat. Tons of sponsors are jumping on board and it looks like the after party events are gonna be awesome, so definitely plan on making it to this one!

We finally received the new 1976 cycling shoes from Vittoria. Word first came out about these back in February but they are now available state side. As far as I know we are the only shop in the US who has imported them from Italy. The shoes are amazing, I have been riding them for about a week now and they are super comfortable on and off the bike. The shoes are all handmade in Biella Italy. These are the first (in my opinion) nice looking SPD compatible shoes on the market. We have our first shipment in stock currently in the Gloss White, and Black colorways. Other colors and luxury material versions will be available soon. Only at Superb. Get these while you can, they are moving fast!
