Stocking back up for the spring weather, we just got in a new shipment of Chrome bags and shoes. Chrome has been doing a lot of great collaborations and special series. We brought in The London Series, which is “inspired by all things punk, ale, and tweed”. As usual we have in the messenger bags, packpacks, and phone pouches. The best thing about these bags in none of them costs over $140, for those looking for a durable yet economical bag. The Kursk Pro sneakers for those who haven’t heard or are still in a search for a non-tech looking SPD shoe. They have had the best life span out of all the models that we have carried. Chrome has been coming out with a lot of amazing new bags lately, and the Citizen Salvage is definitely no exception.

Stay Warm in the Cold: Layering Edition

As most of you have felt… Winter is coming! The first snow has hit and people everywhere are looking to cuddle up with someone and snuggle up in front of the tele. But for the rest of us that have to or want to brave this winter on our bicycles, here are some ways to stay warm, dry, and all the while not looking like a the Michelin man. The best thing that you can do is Layer. Here are some good ideas to stay warm in the cold.

The first line of defense is a good jacket. We currently have in stock the Swrve Milwakee ES Hoodie Mid-Weight Soft Shell and the Mission Workshop Orion Waterproof Jacket. These two jackets are great for being the first line of defense when biking outdoors. The Milwakee Hoodie is wind and water resistant jacket with thermal lining. Every guy in the shop owns one personally and it’s an affordable tech jacket.

The Mission Workshop Orion Jacket is completely waterproof and made out of 4-way stretch Schoeller c_change material designed for all weather conditions.

The second best line of defense is an insulation layer. We currently have in stock the Mission Workshop Bosun Merino Wool Jacket. Merino wool is just about the best wool that you can get. The jacket is also blended with Lycra so you have full mobility and is the perfect under layer to the Orion Jacket.

We also have the two Chrome hoodies in stock. The Cobra Merino Hoodie for men and the Pasha Merino Hoodie for women is a more affordable way to get the benefits of Merino wool and also keeps you from looking like a dumpling (especially good for the ladies).

Short Season in Session

Well, looks like for the next week we’re in for a week of consistently 40 plus weather, which in New English tongue means that Spring has finally arrived.

About. Time.

With warmer weather means it’s finally time to shed off the pants and show off those cycling legs with some shorts.

Chrome Shoes Spy Shots Fall 2011 Preview

We got a sneak peak at what chrome has coming this fall for their shoe lineup. Adding the Midway in all black to the spd compatible line up and 2 new shoes made entirely of leather that don’t utilize the shank found in all of the other chrome shoes, so they have a much more flexible sole.
