Bianchi Super Pista Framesets Alive and Well

Over the past week or so we’ve been getting a lot of calls for Bianchi‘s Super Pista framesets.

Justin is a superintendent at an apartment complex up on Commonwealth Avenue. He’s been coming into the shop for the past two years and finally built up his Cinelli Mash frame last year.

“I have to drive my car for work but cycling has become a release. I love just riding around by myself for hours and blowing off steam. I don’t really know many people in the ‘cycling scene’ so to speak, so I tend to do most of my rides by myself. We have a pretty good mix of hills and flat terrain if that makes sense, it makes riding around more dynamic and fun.”

How he got involved in cycling:

” I moved to the city three years ago and my brother built up a 58 cm (way way way too big) bicycle with a coaster break for me, and told me to ride it. I didn’t have a car so it was my only means of transportation. Two weeks later I switched to fixed and I’ve been riding a fixed gear ever since.”

Advice to everyone who is just getting into riding:

“Hey, new cyclists: don’t cheap out on f-ing parts, ever. You might think you’re saving money and it’s smart but it’s not going to. If you’re going to build up a bike take your time, ride a beater around/loan a bike from a friend until you’ve got enough dough to just go out to the nines. Just do it.”

Justin is completely and totally off of the cyber radar. So if you see him around (usually riding as fast as he can up and down Commonwealth Avenue) just say hi!!

We just finished this Igleheart track build for our good palJesse . This is one of the few remaining frames we had Chris Igleheart build for the shop a few years ago and Jesse choose it for it’s lightweight and clean looks. The build is filled out with Campy Record hubs to torelli rims, Campy Record Headset, Nitto Jaguar stem, Nitto Risers, and IRD cranks.

All we have to say is: lovely.

Superb Sprint: Matte Black Custom

We just finished this XXS Matte Black Superb Sprint. I almost got frost bite of the fingers photographing it in 0 degree weather today in Boston. It was worth it though as this is definitely a looker! We are now sold out of the XXS in the matte black but we do have one left in the polished silver color. The XXS size is 45cm c-c seat tube and 51cm c-c top tube. If you prefer the Matte Black just give us a call or email and we can set up a pre-order for you. We do have the Matte Black left in S and L. Most pre-orders take 4-6 weeks. If you have any other questions feel free to send us an email.

Superb Sprint: Matte Black XXS

We are about the build up a new size of the Sprint. This one is an XXS and measures 45cm center to center on the seat tube. Look for the completed shots soon.

Superb Marcato!

Our new Superb Marcato has been getting a lot of attention at the shop. Many customers (and employees) are already planning their next road bike build around it and it’s easy to see why! Not many companies are offering nice lugged steel road frames anymore, and we were pretty bummed about that. So now you can say goodbye to compact geometry and get a nice classy road frame that rides as nice as it looks!

We just finished up this Black and White Pake build for Mark. Looks fast and should be a fun ride.
Aerospoke wheels, Chris King Headset, Miche Cranks and BB, White Industries freewheel, Thomson stem and post, Cinelli Lola Bar, Aero Saddle, Cane Creek Levers and Campagnolo Veloce Calipers.
