posted by on 2010.11.15 , under Geekhouse

Make sure you stop by Middlesex Lounge tonight for the Geekhouse CX Fundraiser party. Word is Party Mary will be in full effect teaching everyone the dos and don’ts of early 90s paint schemes and dance moves. We’ll see you there!

Superb presents: “Bella Biciclette” TOMORROW Sat 8pm-10pm

Please everyone remember to RSVP for our event “Bella Biciclette” that is taking place at our shop this Saturday from 8pm-10pm. Our 2nd annual Hot Bike contest should be a huge success as the weather looks perfect for tomorrow evening and we have tons of prizes rolling into the shop from some of our favorite brands: Brooks, Colnago, Cinelli, Bianchi, Swrve, Soma, Mission Workshop, Velo Orange, and Geekhouse! Remember it is only $5 to enter the contest and all types of bikes are allowed unless the bike won a prize at last years contest! We also have a super limited Bella Biciclette t-shirt currently being printed over at the Wndrlust Studio and will be on sale at the event.

Also we will be closing the shop an hour early on Saturday (5pm) in order to prepare for the show.

New Saddles!

posted by on 2010.10.17 , under Geekhouse, New Product, Saddles

We got in a lot of new affordable Saddles this week. These are the Soma ensho in new bassboat colors. The ensho is one of my favorite saddles and is super comfortable. $60

Origin8 just released these San Marco Concor ripoffs in a ton of colors. These have a little more padding than my original concor and our mechanic Tom has been riding one this week and loves it. Only $25!

All City recently released these leather perforated Saddles in brown, white and black, very classy and only $60 for a leather saddle!

Marty at Geekhouse did a saddle collabo with SDG components and these Rock City jammers are the result, kinda reminiscent of the San Marco Regal with the buttons on the back! $65

New Geekhouse x Superb Frameset!

Our last Superb x Geekhouse rockcity collabo frame was sold shortly after we received it to the movie “Premium Rush” An action story set in New York City, where a bike messenger picks up a package at Columbia University and subsequently catches the attention of a dirty cop. Hopefully the bike will make it to the silver screen, cross your fingers for us and Geekhouse!

Promptly after the first one left the building we ordered up a new one. This one is 58cm on the seat tube center to center and 57 cm along the top tube center to center and 55cm effective top tube center to center, so it will ride like a 55cm bike. Price is $1400 and that includes a single color sugar coat powdercoat of your choice, sparkle and candy coats are a bit extra. The frame is currently raw and the decals are just for show, decals of your color choice can be added after the powdercoat. We can also do a complete build using our custom build program to save you some serious money on the components and labor.

Gavin’s new Geekhouse Custom hits the Boston Streets!

Our friend Gavin was in the shop most of the day yesterday putting some of the finishing touches on his new Geekhouse build. This one is really quite unique and Marty really out did himself with the extras on this bike. The quill stem/handbar combo was hand made at geek headquarters and along with the fork was finished in clear leaving the welds and burns visible and keeping a nice flow through the front of the bike. The seatmast is integrated into the frame using a custom machined thomson top assembly. The frame color matched rear rim looks great in blue and further pulls the bike together. And lets not forget the brazed on geekhouse badge, each one of these is a work of art and you probably wouldn’t believe how much labor goes into finishing one of these little beauties. It is obvious a lot of thought went into each aspect of this bike.
