If you have been following along you know we now have our own Superb Hubs! Thanks to the wonderful rainstorm this week our Mechanic Tom had a short break from all the spring tune ups to build up this wheelset. It has our Superb Hubs laced radially front and 2x rear to Velocity’s super strong triple walled B43 rims. Stop up and pick up this great handbuilt wheelset for only $360.
We just received some of our first Superb Products. The Superb Chain ring is 144 bcd and 49 tooth, and is made in Boston by Sessions Sprockets.
And these are our new Superb Hubs with sealed cartridge bearings and are available in Black and Silver. Let us build a set up to what ever rims you like!
We should be seeing the new 2010 GT Gutterballs in the shop sometime soon. I am really impressed by them this year, they look way cleaner than the 09 version, which wasn’t even bad to begin with. If you are looking for a nice aluminum track complete you can’t go wrong with this one, especially with the awesome GT mohawk hubs!
My friend Sean came to me one night at Zuzu with an idea for a new bike. He has been riding a fixed gear for a long time that we helped build up, but was ready for another bike to add to his stable. He wanted it to be fast, clean and have multiple gears. We instantly started talking about internally geared hubs, and after meeting at the shop and checking out the frame selection the choice was easy, the special edition Sillgey Cerchio. We built it up with a shimano nexus 7 speed rear hub, and formula front hub, laced to mavic cxp 33 rims. Other nice details include the Soma Ensho Gold saddle, Brass Crane bell, and the Portland Design Works bamboo grips! He stopped in today to pick it up and was pretty stoked. Mad props to the Dragon Tee!
