Dogs are great, but being an avid cyclist with a pooch could pose a potential problem. A fun ride about the city can be coated with fret and worry about a furry companion who is ever so dilligently waiting in his crate to be let out on his own adventure.
Our customer/friend Kate has it all figured out.

Dog plus bag plus bike equals perfect.

Kate’s had Nacho (full name: Nachito) for a few years. She rides with him basically everywhere. After a lot of patience (and not to mention treats), this aspiring dog trainer convinced her pup that her Freight bag wasn’t a bad place to be. Anytime you see them riding around town you can definitely tell that he is psyched on being on Kate’s back.
Hey Kate, thanks for being an inspiration to all of us small/medium dog owners, and see you around!!
Later this week the 2012 North Atlantic Cycle Courier Championships in Richmond, Virginia. It’s a four day festivity of fun starting on Thursday with a Red Bull and ends next Monday with a Memorial Day Barbeque and some Bike polo. Scroll down to see the entire schedule!

We have a few select models of bikes that we’ve decided to let go for less than their MSRP.

We have: Schwinn Willy, PK Ripper, Bianchi Cortina, Manhattan Green and the Bianchi Iseo all for 30 % OFF in a variety of sizes. Big to little, multiple speeds to single speeds, we have ‘em and they’re discounted.

Check ‘em out. While supplies last. They’ve been selling pretty well so swing by sooner rather than later!
Good looking urban cycling clothes are hard to find. We’ve got some different options for you to check out if you want to wear jeans and jackets that can withstand the wear and tear.
You’ve seen some items in our store, but we wanted to show you what it looks like in action.

Our handsome mechanic Tom is rocking the Cadence Prism jacket, a 90s inspired nylon/fleece jacket that can withstand the wind and has a subtle drop to keep the small of your back coovered, and the Swrve Cordura Trim Fit Waxed Canvas pants. Perfect for this windy/rainy/overcast weather that seems to be making a cameo every few days in Boston.

The back pocket is the perfect size for a U-lock.

Close up of the Nylon/Fleece jacket. And, of course, Tom.

We’ll be featuring more clothing every week, check back to see our suggestions as the weather changes!
Ben came to us today with a problem: his bike got run over while locked up on the side walk and he needed a new one. As a bike messenger and Boston Bike Messenger Association Vice President, obviously a bicycle is not only a means of transportation and a friend; it’s a necessity.

“I would borrow my friend’s bikes, but they were all custom, really nice bikes, I couldn’t ride how I normally do,” said Ben.
While Ben’s Budd frame is being repaired, he wanted a solution that was his.
That’s when he saw the Charge Scissor frame.

He was attracted to the frame for a variety of reasons.
“It looks nice, and I wanted something I could ride downtown and really beat on. I can go down stairs without a worry!”

Tom building up the Scissor with a Sugino crankset and Eastern Bikes BMX Pedals.

Ben took it out for a test spin and loved the geometry.
“It’s fast and comfortable, I’m going to have a lot of fun with this!”
