As you may have heard we recently teamed up with Colnago and are now offering their amazing frames. Alex Colnago and Diego Colosio from Colnago stopped by the shop to say hello and check out the place. They were pretty impressed and we got to chat about shops in Italy and even where to grab some authentic Italian food if you find yourself in Taiwan, some useful information Wei Wei plans on utilizing when she travels there this November. I heard some other interesting news I don’t want to mention quite yet, so stay tuned!

My good friend Andrew is back in town from SF for the week and stopped by the shop with his beautifully repainted Euro Asia Imports Bareknuckle. It was painted a few months ago here in Boston by Tony Bevilacqua. It has a very subtle fade from front to back and really shines in the sun. The Italian made frame is built up with Miche components.

We are getting close to the end of Winter and that means we can finally start ordering new product. We have a lot of new stuff in the queue and are really excited to get it in stock. Here is a little preview of some of the new products on their way to Superb.
Linus Bikes: I mentioned we were bringing these on board back in the fall, but that time is getting close, expect to see them in the shop within a month or so. We are really excited to have this nice selection of inexpensive and super stylish city bikes in our shop!

IRD Retro Track Crankset: These beauties are made from 6061-T6 Aluminum and have a 144BCD and 165mm arms. They look like a pair of Campy cranks for a fraction of the price and will definitely look great on your lugged track bike. We should have these in about a week, but only have 2 pair on order, so if you would like to reserve one stop by or give us a call.

26″ aluminum Mag Wheels: These are prefect for you trick riders looking for a 26″ bombproof front wheel for barspins and what not. I have been field testing a prototype of this since last summer on my volume cutter, and believe me this is an amazing wheel! We are expecting a few of these in a week as well. Call for price and to reserve.

BikeGlow Light: This crazy light is a 10 ft flexible light tube that allows you to wrap it around any surface(utilizes electroluminescent technology) It has steady, slow flashing, and fast flashing modes, is weather resistant and uses 2 AA batteries, we have them coming in 4 different colors in about a week!

And last but definitely not least we had a nice visit today from the fine folks from Brooks. It looks like we will be stocking the Brooks x Vans shoes, and according to them they will be available this spring. I am sure we will have more info on them soon, as well as a pre-order.

This Thursday Kazu from Nari Furi, a Japanese clothing and bag company we carry, stopped in and visited. Bringing gifts from Chari & Co NYC, the only other store in the US that carries Nari Furi.
We got to check out first hand the specs of the new Nari Furi X Bridgestone 60th Anniversary Collaborative bike, The Helmz. The Helmz is a flat bar aluminum road bike with aero tubing that is currently only available in Japan, but not if we can help it! Their Logo is one of the best designs we have also seen in a while.

Bridgestone describes the bike as, “…a new genre of bicycle known as the Speed Cruiser targeting street riders, and it represents the fourth model developed to commemorate Bridgestone Cycle’s 60th anniversary. It has been designed to promote the concept of [FASHION + BICYCLE] for both companies…”

The Helmz comes in 4 colorways with Sugino RD cranks, a drilled out chainring guard, flat bars with thumb shifters, Miche Supertype seatpost, and rims radial laced to god knows what… Get back to you on that one.

Kazu also pulled out his brand of unisex underwear, Betones. The “Be” is for The Beatles and “tones” is for The Rolling Stones. He gave us a couple of pairs which are amazing. Clean underwear and sick bikes, what else could you ask for?

Today we had a nice surprise at Superb Bicycle when the owner of Time Sport International stopped by with some friends to check out the shop.
