We recently received 6 hand built custom ordered Igleheart Track Bikes. We bought the tube sets for these over 2 years ago, and finally got around to having Chris weld them up for us. 3 of the 6 frames were then expertly painted either Grey Metallic, Purple, or Teal by John Bow, the other 3 frames are raw and are awaiting a Powder Coat from Sugar Coat, which is included in the $999 purchase price in what ever color you desire. There are 2 frame sizes, the smaller size measures 53cm on the seat tube center to top, 52cm on the top tube center to center, the larger size measures 57cm on the seat tube center to top, and 55cm on the top tube center to center. We built up the 52cm Purple Frame set with some very nice parts and the complete is on sale for $1899. Some highlights of the build include a Velocity B43 Wheelset, Sram Omnium Crankset with 3RRR Mighty Pimp Chainring, Nitto Bars, Stem, and Seatpost, with a Turbo Saddle. This is your chance to get a locally hand made frameset with no wait time for under a grand, don’t miss it.

Independent Fabrication Grasstrack Racer

posted by on 2009.10.03 , under Custom Build, Fixed Gear, Photography, Press, prototype, Racing

I recently had the opportunity to follow the exploits of the new Concept Indy Fab Grasstrack Racer. It all started a couple days before Interbike when it was innocently wheeled into Superb sans crank and bottom bracket. After drooling over the new bike a black Sugino 75 Crankset and a locally made 3RRR chainring were purchased and mounted up to a fresh wider than normal bottom bracket (to account for the wider than normal chainstays.) We parted ways agreeing to meet back up in Vegas, and did we ever. That bike got around, maybe even more than my Huffy. First we saw it at the Wipperman Booth at the show, then later at the Tastemakers Party at the Artisan it was aglow in Knog Lights. Upon arriving home from Vegas I was then greeted with photos of the beautiful bike all over the internet, so I figured it was only proper to add on to the pile.
