Custom Build: Mike’s Soma Smoothie

posted by on 2011.05.26 , under Commuting, Custom Build, Summer

Mike came to us with a unique request: a road bike with bullhorns. He worked with Tom on the idea and they ended up using a Soma Smoothie steel frame with downtube shifters.

Soma Smoothie build up with Shimano 105 components.

A little Soma headbadge action with detail of Nitto bullhorns and Paul levers.

Just goes to show you–anything goes if you’ve got the vision and the drive to make your dream bike come true.

New Saddles!

posted by on 2010.10.17 , under Geekhouse, New Product, Saddles

We got in a lot of new affordable Saddles this week. These are the Soma ensho in new bassboat colors. The ensho is one of my favorite saddles and is super comfortable. $60

Origin8 just released these San Marco Concor ripoffs in a ton of colors. These have a little more padding than my original concor and our mechanic Tom has been riding one this week and loves it. Only $25!

All City recently released these leather perforated Saddles in brown, white and black, very classy and only $60 for a leather saddle!

Marty at Geekhouse did a saddle collabo with SDG components and these Rock City jammers are the result, kinda reminiscent of the San Marco Regal with the buttons on the back! $65

Sneak Peak

I got a sneak peak at something SOMA has up their sleeves today. Colored Spokes!! Made by the finest spoke manufacturer in all the land, or at least Taiwan! The spokes are stainless steel and made by the same supplier of Mavic’s spokes! Peep the Superb teal second from the left.
